The Brief
Clayware Co. were selling almost entirely through Instagram DMs and a waiting list spreadsheet. They wanted an online shop that felt handmade — not like a generic template — without taking on the overhead of running their own checkout and shipping logic.
The Process
We chose Shopify as the foundation so the studio wouldn't need to maintain custom commerce code, then designed a fully custom theme on top of it — quiet typography, plenty of breathing room, and product photography treated like gallery work rather than a catalogue grid.
The Outcome
The studio now processes the bulk of its orders online, with restocks selling out within hours of being announced by email — a list the new site grew from under 100 subscribers to over 1,400 in its first quarter.
